Maybe because nobody really wants *another* forum?
We already have the various Usenet newsgroups, plus other general forums
(eg. BMFA, www.modelflying.co.uk etc. etc.) then yet more specialised
forums. Surely the more we have the less use any one will get - so what's
the point? If we carry on at this rate (two new forums announced in the
last day or so) eventually we'll all have our own forum in which we talk to
ourself to our heart's content with zero risk of anybody else listening. Or
have I got it all wrong??

I think you're absolutely right. We're all much better off with fewer
forums. Look at torqueroll.com; it's had just over 850 members for about
ever. What a waste of time compared to rcgroups.com at over 23,000 members,
and even rcgroups doesn't seem that active all the time.
Of course, all these new forums are coming about with the "demise" of
rcuniverse, but I think in the long run, we need to all support the next
biggest player that works the way the WE like it to work. And that's
www.rcgroups.com. I mean, Jeez, there are already too many European types
over there already so why do we need a EU group? (Check out the foreign
Socialist "lefties" in the "Off Topic" forum and you'll see how
international rcgroups.com really is.
