Thanks :O)
ok I have a trinity x-star which I understand is quite an old stock motor. I
don't know much about it tho because it is from a car I got off ebay
(schumacher fireblade usa).
Anyway I was wondering how it compares to other motors. I mean it does seem
faster than my friends tamiya (with the standard 540) but I thought this was
meant to be a 27t too so I don't see why it is so much faster.
so compared to for example a 17 quad how much slower would mine be compared
to it?
any extra info about this motor would be greatly appreciated too.
Thanks in advance,

I've always wondered why the higher wind motors had better "top end". Is it
because the windings are more dense and are packed against the poles better?

Here's the thread from when we discussed this back in '99, when Tom Younger
and Elvo were around:

Re-reading it though, I can't see any clear conclusions... maybe someone
would like to spend more time than I'm prepared to, and post a summary...

D'oh, forgot about tinyurl (or www.makeashorterlink.com). That's what
comes of trying to cook dinner and post to Usenet at the same time...
Thanks!
