Hi
I am lokking for a cheep and good sound modul for my towingboat. It is a
twinscrew model and I should prefer a unit folling the different speed of
the two motors. Can it handel the startingprocess of engines it would be
perfect. Any suggestions for deliveries within EU? I am also interested in
drawings or sets for building one myself. Thank you in advance.

Do a Google search on the Graupner Navy Sound Module. It's NOT cheap
(about 150) but does everything you'd ever want.
Good luck

Norvac Electronics carries these little kits that allow you to build up a sound generator. I do not recalll what the name of the company is that makes them. If I get out there in the near future I will check on it for you.
The link below is for All Electronics, they carry a little get that has train sounds on it, one of which is a diesel engine sound. Pretty cheap, cheap enough to try and see if it works.http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?category=305&item=EM-105&type=store
