hi all
i was just wondering if anyone has any info on the great planes at-6 texan.i have one,but have yet to fly it.
i have not read alot of positive feedback on this plane.
there seems to be some controversy as to where the cg is located.
i even read where one guy couldnt even get the thing off the ground.
any feedback would be appreciated as i would like to try to fly this bird.
thanks

a guy at my field flies one with a Saito 65, and it seems to fly pretty nice. Does not seemed to be underpowered at all. Seems to have plenty of power and takes off and lands smooth.
As for the CG, I would go as per instruction and maybe a little forward. You definitely don't want to be on the aft side of the CG for maiden flight (better nose then tail heavy). Warbirds can get very nasty being tailheavy and alot of times not being able to bring down in one piece.
Enjoy

Ulf
