San Diego Pylon Racing, Nov. 8th

This Saturday, November 8th, is pylon racing day at SEFSD. We should start at 12 noon, so be there by 11:30 to make sure you're ready.

If you plan to attend, please contact me via this thread (or email) so I can get a feel for which events to plan for. S400, F5D-SD, F5D, Foamie, etc...

You're absolutely right and I'm almost amazed that someone has not slapped my wrist until now. ;) My intention was to get as much visibility as possible, since I don't think the events forum gets the same traffic and we want to be encouraging new pylon pilots to come out. I will place these announcements in the events forums from now on.

I like these announcements here because thats where many of us prowl. However, I guess thats the rules.

I'll be there if I can get my stinger fixed in time. It went in full speed after a radio lockout, amazing how little broke, these are tough little planes!

I vote for keeping these announcements in this forumn, I don't think most people check the events forumn very much, at least I know I don't. But the rules are the rules...

I know that there are rules, but the thread not only notifies local flyers of the contest, it also gives others who are into this type of racing the knowledge that at least someone , somewhere is keeping pylon racing alive. Besides, there are periodic spin offs of the thread that are related to performance, plane design, contest type that are worthwhile.

I say leave the poor thread alone;)

I don't know how it went... I've been so busy that I forgot to ask. I couldn't make it to the races either... first time in over a year! :(
