What's with someone who posts something along the lines of "Condolences"
followed by "I hope this isn't as bad as it sounds?" How much "badder" could
it get?

Another one said "This really hits some guys". I believe they speak with no
thought.

Beav,

Again, you are so right. But the sad truth remains. Our models are indeed
dangerous and should be treated with more respect than we all afford them. I
see it all the time and was waiting for the inevitable.

Time for some quiet reflection for our fallen comrade.

Well at the rate of 45 fkn minutes for a fkn ambulance to arrive on
the scene apparently, its a wonder the poor bugger wasnt suffering
rigor mortis by the time the ambo's got to him.

Youre a hard man Beav
But then so am I.

I will say in support of those suffering over the matter, I think
their heart is in this right place, even if their words are not.

I've seen some quite serious injuries (and done some to) myself so I know
how much respect we SHOULD have too, but like you say, we don't always
display any. Until something "new" happens to remind us. I think it's
terrible that someone got killed, but I couldn't figure out why anyone would
say "I hope it's not as bad as it sounds".

I

I "encourage" FNG's to have a healthy fear of their heli's and try to get
them to learn from MY mistakes (flying too close, flying too fast when it IS
close, that sort of stupid thing).

Hey Beav,

I fully understand where you get that from and believe me, as an American, I
don't like it either.

Please understand that this doesn't apply to all of us!

Fly Safe,
