I would really appreciate a recommendation by the group on what is the best
Sim for someone new to the RC heli world.
TIA,

Talk about opening a can of worms...
Personally, I use RealFlight G2 which I picked up second hand for about £60.
I use it with my own transmitter and a lead that connects to the PC's
parallel port.
There are many others, each with their own supporters. Several are
"freeware" and can be downloaded off the net, with the user then making up
an interface lead. Others are commercially available but tend to be quite
pricey (presumably because the market is limited and they don't sell in
great volume).
G2 is the only one I've used, so I can't comment on the others I'm afraid. I
find it to be pretty good, though I have had some problems getting the PC to
recognise all the switches on my transmitter. If you do use your own
transmitter with a sim, I suggest you set up a second program on your tranny
with the same settings as your model's program. That way, you start off with
the same settings as the model, but if you do any tweaks along the way while
using the sim, you don't lose your original settings for the model (not all
changes turn out for the best!).
I'm sure there will be lots of other replies...
