I built my first giant spad plane with 2 aileron servos 1 throttle and 1 rudder and 1 elevator, will the 4 cell pack that came with my futaba radio be enough for a couple 15 minute flights?

Ron,
Mike is correct asking what the capacity is. The 4 cell battery is 4.8 volts but it doesn't tell us the capacity or the mAh. The batteries that come with a flightpack or new radio kit are usually only 600mAh. This battery in good condition should be good for a couple 10-15 minute flights. But not knowing it's age and overall condition makes it hard to say "yes, it will be fine."
If it is older and has been abused:
Bad.....hot charges
Bad......crashed
Bad.....drained too low
Or it is newer and has been well cared for:
Good....nice slow charges
Good....cycled from time to time
Good.....cool dry storage

If it falls under the "New" and "Good" category and it is a 600mAh battery it will be enough. But always check voltage before any flight. You never know when a cell is going to retire.

I HAVE FLOWN ANY ULTRA STICK 60 WITH 7 SERVOS (FLAPS) WITH NO PROBLEMS USING A 4 CELL 600MAH BATTERY PACK WITH MY FUTABA. USUALLY GET 3-4 15 MIN FLTS WITH NO PROBLEMS. I DO ENSURE THE NIGHT BEFORE TO FULLY CHARGE THE BATTERY PACK UP TO THE TIME I AM LOADING THE CAR WITH AIRCRAFT AND GEAR. ENJOY THE FLYING.

dear rc friend bigs birds eat a lot of energy, please put 1000ma batery pack, and forget. Compare the amount of money that your plane cost against tha cost of a batery pack.

I agree w/ platero. I fly all 120 size planes & the smallest pack I have is 1450 mah 4 cell NiMh. I have logged 99 min of flight time on a H9 Cap 232 in a single day on a single charge with it & discharged when I got home & it still had over 800 mah in it discharging at 250 mah/hour. The good thing about the NiMh is its the same size as the 600 mil NiCd and weighs less. the pack only costs around $15 - the planes I fly are in the $100's. $15 is worth not worring about it.
