G'day,
Thankyou for providing me the opportunity to announce the latest Technology NiMH we have produced "especially" for the R/C hobbyist. It has been a long development trip, but now, after 5 generations of the Quantum cells we have a product that has been worth the hundreds of hours of testing and development! The Quantum 1100 HRD( Hi Rate Discharge) 2/3a cells have been manufactured to our exact specifications utilising the latest available hi tec materials for NiMH construction.
The latest QUANTUM cells are higher in Capacity than the KAN1050, and have substantially lower Internal Resistance than the KAN's.Factory tests indicate Maximum IR 5.8MilliOhms. (Bear in mind that the figure is an AC Impedance measurement, and that other ways of measuring IR such as calculations based on change of terminal Voltage with a sudden increase in discharge Current, and "bounceback" of terminal voltage when a heavy discharge load is halted....may produce different numbers.) Regardless of the method used, the QUANTUM cells show substantially lower IR and higher capacity than our test KAN cells.

Consistency of the test regime is Paramount if such comparative tests are to have any validity!

It is very simple matter to "fudge" test results by not disclosing inconsistencies such as ...Charge rates, rest time, cell temperature at start, whether fan cooling was used, state of charge of the cell, and its temperature when IR measurements are taken, and whether the cells have been "zapped" and were the "zapping" parameters consistent....plus a few others!!!

None of the cells used for comparison tests (against the Kan 1050) have been Zapped, and we have been scrupulous about maintaining a consistent test regime.
The New Quantum 1100's also have the ability to except charging at 3C without venting or loss of cell life due to the advanced materials utilised in the construction process and a new improved venting system. The Quantum cells will be available from Hobbyworx in Australia and Hobbyworx Europe from November 4th 2003.I am Currently seeking distributors for the USA market with a "PROVEN" track record and "dedication" to customer satisfaction!!!.Please email me your resume and details of your current business activities if you are interested in undertaking the distributorship for the USA.Once again thankyou for the opportunity to announce our products.
Kind Regards
