remote control info needed

My 48" model schooner is ready to sail. I need some info in order to fit in the right servo, receiver, batteries, transmitter (only the rudder will serve=1 channel). Limited budget. Reasonable range.

Does this mean that you are not using a sail winch on this? Only helm control?
Any of the two channel AM radios would be fine. You could use a two stick or a one stick or even a pistol grip ( car transmitter) if you wished. This should run you under $50.00 for such a set up.
If you hit the garage sales you may even find one.
