I just read an article from a 1997 copy of R/C Car Action's "Radio
Control Touring Cars". In one article one of the writers for the
magazine claimed he was told by some of the pro drivers that 4wd tuning
is opposite 2wd tuning.. in other words, to get less steering, soften
the front or stiffen the rear. A lower ride height in the rear produces
less steering instead of more as we would expect. The author also
claims to have scoffed at the advice since it went opposite everything
he and others knew about 2wd tuning....until he tried it. He says it
works, but he doesnt understand why. Anyone else found this to be true?
It goes against all of the setup sheets, and tuning guides I have read.
Now, I havent found this to be true in my own experience, but I havent
really explored it either.
