View Full Version : Ride height

How do you place your car to measure the ride height? I mean: do you lay
it down very softly or do you just let it fall from a little height or
something else?
I have some doubt since the friction on suspension arms allow different
static position: which is the right one?

Off road vehicles you drop from a foot or more above, on road just
laying on the table is good.

Fnarr fnarr!
Q: why is it that it takes a day to put a car together and then a week to
get it ready for the track?
The last time I got a car ready to run in one day was years ago. Got the kit
first thing in the morning and raced the next day back when I was working at
a car racing shop in the UK in 1991. It was an RC10 Worlds (my first RC10)
with a black alloy tub and stealth transmission, still got it.
