As my first helicopter I just bought a Raptor 50V2 kit and an OS 50 SX-H
engine. Having never done this before I've got a question about installing
the engine fan. For the OS engine do I remove the drive hub from the shaft
before screwing on the fan?

It doesn't look like there's a drive hub on the Thunder Tiger engine in the
building diagrams, so I suspect that I should remove it from the OS engine,
but wanted to make sure before I moved on.

Thanks.

Yes, you need to remove the thick aluminium prop driver.

And you were right. There is a thin black washer supplied that you can use
to get the clutch clearance. It worked perfectly on mine.

You were right to do so but you would have found out that the engine/clutch
would probably not fit with the prop driver still there. :-)
