First TD plane?

I'm going to the Visalia contest this weekend and hope to purchase my first open class TD ship. I don't want to break the bank as I'm just learning this aspect of the hobby, but I'd like a plane that is currently produced. I have many years of slope and hotliner experience. Guys at my field fly Addictions and Compulsions primarily, and they seem to be in my budget for a used airframe. Recently I was also told to look into the Artemis, although that plane typically goes for $200-250 more on the previously owned market.

What do you guys think? Any leads planes that will be for sale in Visalia are welcome.
