There are NO moderators in Usenet (Unless the group includes "moderated"
in the name)!

Spam spam spam spam FAQ and Spam.
I check this news group from the
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/index.php?s=&topic=sea
It has a nice GUI, and a few more specific areas to post,
and NO SPAM.;)
The board can always use more members.
Come see other peoples project images, and post your own.

Please adjust your newreader to post an RFC-compliant signature, which
starts with "-- " <-- Note the trailing space character.
Messages on Usenet can be deleted, but only if:
1 - The newserver you are reading them from honours "cancel" messages
2 - You are the "owner' of the post in questoin
3 - You are a "news" admin (this is incomplete, I know)
In general, it's easier to set up your kill-file to ignore messages.
Cheers,
Gary B-)

Web boards are slow. And they take time to re-draw the screen. A
usenet newsfroup can be scanned through quite quickly, and a kill-file
can be used to improve the signal-to-noise ratio.

I can understand that 10 seconds to load a image laden thread can be annoying. Especially if you only have a 56k modem.
We have over 40 people in our club. One of the BBS created a
forum just for our ship discussions. I thought, "Finally now my e-mail account won't fill up with one liners and club chatter."
However, when we announced that we had a BBS available for our use, most of the club refuse to use it.
We got excuses line "I just don't like them", and "I don't understand how they work." How lame is that? Out of 40 club members only 4 use the board. It's pretty sad.
And my e-mail box still gets filled with stuff like, "Where can I find... laquer?"
Some of them must be just too old to learn new tricks.
