Ok, so there's this one furom site for all the model airplane flyers in Israel (I know, I know, just 1?!?!?! Well, What to do...), and everyone that's anyone posts there. Someone ask "What is a good 3D trainer?". So I gave him the link to the SPA3D site. I have just srated a flame of posts by people all over the country saying how wonderfull it looks, and how they're going to build it as soon as possible! Suddenly my PM box is over-loaded with people asking me where to get supplies, and general questions about the SPADS... I feel so good about myself!:D:D:D

You're the man Predator! Keep up the work, we're all doing our part to spread the dissease! But be careful, soon will come the Balsa police, telling you how bad SPAD is, how ugly they are, and how heavy they are. The cure is simple, let them fly your plane!!!

Keep haveing fun, and be sure to post the pictures of the first SPADs over Israel !!!

I'm hoping to get all the supplies ready by mid-next week. I hope I'll finish it before anyone else in the Israeli forum....:p

t_predator90,

I'm not sure, but I'd guess you're used to the metric system over in Israel...

I believe a 4mm self tapping screw is similar in size to our #6 screws. I'd use 12-15mm length for most of the plane.

I'd maybe use 5mm to hold the landing gear on, but 4mm everywhere else.

Thatnx VeetV!:D

By the way, someone finished (ish) the SPAD, and in a hurry. He managed to take off only twice, almost flew half a circuit and smashed down.... Reasons: 2, 2 mm coroplast sheets stuck together, making it unable to be bent properly for an airfoil, engine mount made from old, week wood. Servos attached using only zip-ties, even though the servos were much smaller then the witdh of the U channel. No back plates for screws, and just general "quick-build" errors.... So, he gave a really bad flight report. But I hope to show people what the SPAD is really like, once I get the stuff...

Actualy there are about 4 big forums in israel.
you are most than welcome....
about the SPAD issue....
in HAIFA we already built some models out of coroplast.
most of them for slope but some were electrified....
the F-16 is realy neat.
I'll be happy to see a glow-spad model.
when r u coming to haifa? :)

Please make sure your SPAD doesn't include a stick of dynamite. :p ...or any other explosive. :p

I know, I know, don't give Al-Quaeda ideas. Seriously, good work soldier! :)
