KYOSHO SURFER LISA ready kit, new in box.
Surfer Lisa consists of: 26" long by 6" wide self righting sufboard, with Surfer Lisa action figure attached, a 20 turn electric motor with a servo/microswitch throttle, and a steering servo and linkage and rudder, everything is factory installed and ready for surfing!
Ready Kit consists of: Kyosho Perflex radio system ( 27mhz am pistol grip transmitter with dual rate steering! (very nice feature), radio receiver, steering and throttle servos) one 6 cell battery, one battery charger (wall wart type, overnight/ 6hr. charger), one foam surf board stand, both the surfer instruction manual and the radio instruction manual, some allen wrenches and a spring hook.
Also included and installed is a flex cable drive system with an Octura brass drive dog and tapered propeller nut (and of course the original direct drive shaft will also be included). The flex cable eliminates any mis-alignments of the drive line which cause excessive vibration, noise, heat, maintenance and also robs efficiency.
This Lisa surfer has also been improved for larger surf. Stock she is good for about a 1foot wave without leaking (if you are very lucky). The modifications to this surfer make it able to withstand the feriocious power of up to 10 foot tall ocean waves without allowing water past the deck hatch keeping your electronics high and dry!
Here is what has been done to this surfer so that you will be able to confidently use it in the ocean:
The stock hatch seal has been replaced with 1/4" closed cell foam that is augmented with RTV so water can't get under and around this new seal, it replaces the flimsy open cell "sponge tape" stock seal.
The deck hatch has a RTV barrier installed to provide a larger sealing surface, this larger surface is what is pressed against the closed cell foam seal.
The power switch has been moved to the interior of the hull and the original mounting hole has been sealed shut with epoxy.
the antenna tube mount, and stuffing tube (drive shaft tube) have additonal glue sealing re-enforcing where they penetrate the hull (interior, and exterior).
Upgraded orings for the deck hatch hold down screws, Stock orings are very soft and deform easily, they have been replaced with much more robust (firm) orings that will last a very long time.
The box has been opened, but the surfer is unused, it has been leak checked and radio has been tested, everything is functional.
This surfer is completely READY TO RUN! all you will need to add is 12 aa batteried for the radio system, charge and install the battery pack and you can toss it in the water and be surfing in no time!
