Hi,
What lengths should the springs be for both front and rear.
My 2nd hand impact '99 spec would only touch the springs when the collar was
screwed fully down on the shock body.. I could not pretension them.
I thougth they were probably wrong, so I bought some new serpent springs.
Same problem.. Its as if the (rear) springs are 10mm too short.

The rear shock does measure 75mm, from top of cap to bottom of rod end,
which appears to be correct, but I dont know for sure, as I have no manual !

pics available at:

Thanks,
Declan

Declan,

it doesn't matter if the spring touches the both end stops when the shock is
off the car as long as when it's on the car you have a decent ride height,
about 4-6mm at the front and 5-7mm at the rear.

Chris

Hi Declan,
I have been to your web site and see you have a GP 4 WD Spider.
I have recently bought one second hand with no manual, do you have one that you might scan and email to me, as I need 1ST and 2ND nylon gears and i need part nos.
PS.
Some of your pics are a little dark, any lighter ones?
Any tips on the car?
Cheers
Paul
