RCAT Systems is proud to announce the upcoming release of its highly anticipated 11ch telemetry system for R/C models and UAV's. Available September 29th, this device measures items such as RPM, Airspeed, altitude, G forces, two thermocouple temperature inputs, current, voltage, and more. The measured data is displayed live, while it happens, on a virtual instrument panel of a PC or laptop and saved for later analysis or playback.

An official release date is now set for Monday, September 29th with an introductory pricing of $699.95 for the base unit.

A datasheet which answers many questions about the unit is here: http://www.rcatsystems.com/datasheets/RCATS%20Datasheet_website.pdf

Any plans for adding GPS coordinates? Or is that what the I/O ports are for?

Thanks, it looks pretty sharp.

Hi Jason,

Thanks for your interest. The two I/O ports are for add-ons, such as if a customer wants an extra g force sensor, retract air pressure, another temp measurement, voltage, etc.

As far as GPS, there have been requests and are plans to add that feature on at a later date.

How abou the ability to add a video view window in the software?

Not that you would need to support any wireless video with your telemetry unit, but the ability to use a video source in the window would be killer in my opinion. This would allow those with wireless video to have a dream setup.

The video idea is one that has been in the back of my head for some time. Implementing it is undoubtedly possible, but ensuring that it works on most PC's is the question. I will be further looking into this subject. I agree that it would be a nice addition!

If he makes a video layer with all data AND GPS he'll be doing DARPA projects instead of messing with us RC'ers ;)

Great work, we are in the process of doing a review of another telemetry system also, any chance you would offer on up for comparison or a follow up review? Our users want to know more!

Keep it up,

Jason
