Questions about jet exhaust

Hey guys. I just have a few questions about jet exhaust temperature. I would like to mount a AMT Mercury on the center fuselage of a twin tail boom design airplane (similar to the bobcat). What kinds of temperatures can be expected from the jet exhaust around a foot to 1.5 feet behind the nozzle, and what kind of volume is affected, a conical volume I assume? The biggest question is, how would this effect a horizontal tail with a carbon fiber, kevlar, or fiberglass skin? I would do some experiments, but this information is just for some initial design sizing and configuration. If anyone has some insight I'd appreciate it.
