I built a Hobby hanger Mini Edge 540 and put a norvel 061 in it.
it flew kinda ok. I was using one of those cox bendy props.
The ones that just won't break black in colour 6x3.
would there be a better choice?
Now that I've got a computer radio and dial in a bit of expo it's a lot nicer to fly but I stuck a OS .10 in it and repairs have caused it to gain a bunch of weight. Hoping to rebuild it on a diet

I run the APC 6x3 or 6x4 depending on the plane and how much I want to load the engine. They perform nice for me but they do however break most the times when I doink them :)

I've settled on the 6 X 3 size for my Norvel .061s. Be aware though, that not all 6 X 3s are created equal. Blade area and shape can significantly alter the loading on your engine. the Cox 6 X 3 is the "loadiest". The skinny APC is the lightest. In between those two is my favourite, the black Tornado 6 X 3 prop as provided by Sig for the Norvels that they distribute. For me, my kind of flying and my kind of planes, they're just right.

Thanks guy's
I'd like to rebuild my Edge 540 (http://www.hobbyhangar.com/test/hgr190.htm) I first flew it with the 0.061 cart-wheeled it a couple of times during hand launching keep fixing it flying it. switched out the Norvel for an OS .10. It got a little fat from repairs and mods.
It's now 31oz. Been looking at it lately and thinking that with a stick built fuse and lighting holes anywhere I can get away with.
And a better prop on the Norvel, and Expo set up with the new computer radio it should do a lot better.
