I was in toys r us on Friday to get some stuff for my boys room and I saw this little beauty. My boys love it and there was almost a riot when I hung it on their ceiling out of their reach. An 18th scale Corsair from ultimate soldier. Full cockpit, scale rotating retracts and tail wheel hook with gear doors all around. And just to make all my friends happy it is in British colors. Maybe this is the scheme for my Byron Corsair.
Good Luck

Paul, I have a Taylor Corsair in the wings and was considering the TFC airplane also. Either that, or a post war reserve scheme with the orange band around the rear fuselage. I'm not a big fan of the RN camo but I do like some of the RNZ paint schemes. I owned and flew the Byron Corsair some years back and it is a wonderful airplane to fly. Good luck with yours, Chad Veich.

How much was this bad boy? One minor note - it looks like the wings have U.S.A.A.F tips and as the photo under your post shows, the tips were clipped to allow storage on Brit carriers. Revell had a 1/32 kit of the Brit Corsair 25-30 years ago.

Paul, was considering a French 'Aeronaval w/ Suez markings scheme for my Pica corsair, I think the Ultimate soldier one just swayed me north of the Channel........
If you don't mind me asking, how much was it @ Toys "r" Us?
Btw, nice job on the Me262! the Ultimate soldier figure looks right at home!

I just painted a friend's corsair in the El Salvador scheme. It's similar to the Vietnam 3 tone upper, but more mottled and has light grey undersides. Also has yellow ID bands around the fuselage, wings and cowling. This is definitely something different and very eye catching.

Ian

Local Toyrs 'r' Us didn't have the Corsair, had a P-38, but the store is in an upscale suburb so the cost was $60.00. Anyone know if this company has a P-51?
