I have templates for the P-38 And wondered how big it should be for a pair of OS 46 FX's????
Would a pair of these fly an 80" WS????
Kinda would like an IMAA "Big Bird" and 80" is the minimum.
Any ideas?? I have plenty of both 2 mil and 4 mil, and 6 foot of aluminum channel.

Ah shucks Tattoo, ya make me blush. :o If it wasn't for you guys I wouldn't even be flying!
VP, I think 80" would be fine. .46's should pull 12 lbs easy. Mine is 84" span and weighed over 16 lbs. I used sewer pipe for the fuselages and it ended up way tail heavy. It took over a pound of lead to get it to balance. I had MDS .61's then Irvine .53's both flew it fine. There are videos on my site, it had the .53's in it when we taped those.
There has to be a way to do it that's lighter than what I did. Some day I'll have to build another.
