When I try to remap the keyboard controls whatever plane I have selected automatically initializes at full throttle, causing a nose-down condition right at the start. Is ther a setting I'm missing? Currently, I have to load the model I want, then load the default key controls, then load my controls. Can anyone help please?

Thanks.

Mikey,

Have you gotten PreFlight to work since you first posted? I just noticed your problem this AM, since my system developed some quirks that did not seem to be there last night.

Found that an unusual situation developed with my simulator programs today - affected all three sims. It seems I was playing with the gaming options choice in the control panel last night and messed with the settings somehow, not realizing that I messed up some aspects of my interface operation.

Went back and started the interface application from scratch. Remapped and calibrated in the control panel gaming ops, then did the same with FMS, and PreFlight. Since I'm using a Hitec Focus 4 TX and RC Joy USB interface, this may have nothing to do with your problem. However, If your PreFlight setup worked before and then presented the problem you described, then your basic setup may be the answer. If you're just setting PreFlight up then you might look at the configuration screen and see if throttle is set up correctly for your hardware.

On my system, throttle is on ch. 7 and reversed (Rev). The way you describe the problem, it sounds like the throttle is initializing at full, and if so, then some models in Preflight will do exactly what you describe. You may know by now that one of the oddities of PreFlight is that throttle is on ch.7, and rudder on ch.6.

If you've already solved the problem then simply ignore my ramblings. If however, you're still experiencing the same situation, then some of the above may be of help.

Good luck.

Thermals,

Stew
