I have been given a hull by a friend that he carved from solid in 1949. Its
what remains of a hydroplane model, about 2 ft long, 8" beam and heavy, very
heavy by modern standards.
I intend to power it with something like a speed 700 motor and suitable
nicad pack but wonder what sort of prop I ought to use. My own modelling
expertise is in planes and helicopters - propping a boat is a bit ouytside
my normal range!!
I am not after hige speed, its too heavy for safe fast speed, but would like
to have useful power available - and so use it on a local river and as a tug
for my childrens smaller, faster, r/c boats.
Thoughts?
