Man, that thing looks really cool.
I wanted to race Mini-Z's... so last year I invested nearly $300 bucks in a
car, charger, batteries, and various hop-ups. Now, the mini-Z track that was
going to be my place to race, has closed down.
I am now reduced to running my Z on the kitchen floor :-(.
That little Losi truck looks like a blast in some soft dirt outside, and
indoors... it seems it could tear up some carpet, and terrorize a few dogs and
cats. ;-)

I am sure that aftermarket companies will jump on this like a pack of
dogs on a three-legged cat! I expect bearing kits, hop op motors,
gear-tuning options, bodies, aluminum parts, but most of all, I will
fully expect fluid-filled shocks instead of those tamiya style
friction shocks; yuck!!

the beauty of it is that she was probably designed around a Micro rs4
battery and motor, so all those options are already on the market!
and yeah, everybody and their mother will be making oil shocks for it. Heck,
you could probably kitbash some associated VCS micro shocks onto it
yourself.

The upgrade i REALLY wanna see is an .049 nitro conversion!

BOY... we all kinda think alike, don't we?
The very FIRST think I looked for, when I saw the pics of that truck, was
enough room to drop some kinda nitro engine in that thing.
I too was disappointed to see that they were using those lousy *friction*
shocks.
The vehicle concept sure is cool though.
"Gotsta get me one!"

I'm heading to Chicago this weekend (9/13-9/14) for the
"2003 International Model and Hobby Expo".
(Check it out here).........
http://www.ihobbyexpo.com/

Horizon Hobby, and Team Losi will be there.
If they have any display units, I will post my impressions to this NG, and
perhaps a few pics to the binary group.

Uh... no... I posted information about the Hobby Expo nearly a month ago.
See my post (dated 08-17-03)
Cut-n-pasted below.
Let me know if you will be there.
First round of beers is on me.

Hi all,
This year's International Model and Hobby Expo looks like it may be
interesting.
Usually lots of new products are unveiled at these shows.
The show will run from Sept. 11-14, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center
in Rosemont, IL. (Rosemont, IL is at Chicago's O'Hare airport)
Take a look:

http://www.ihobbyexpo.com/

I have never been to one of these shows, but have heard that they are pretty
cool. I may make the trip this year, to check out the new stuff the industry
has to offer.
If anyone else is planning to attend, let me know.
Shhhh, if the wife finds out WHY I'm headed for Chicago... I may have to leave
the credit cards at home.

maybe next time. I must have missed that one last month. :-( Where is the
next mid-west RC show?

I've got a Norvel .061 with a clutch and everything in my Bolink Nitro
Legends that wouldn't mind a new home. That sounds like a really great
project. I wonder if it would be enough to make this thing fun.

Is everyone crazy? Look at the layout of this car. I cant see a
possible way that a nitro engine will work! First, the engine would
have to hang off the back of the car, and there it no room for the
electronics. This would also put the balance of the car so off, that
it would be virtually undrivable.
I am open to suggestions, but I just cant see how it is possible.
