Don't feel bad, you may not be the only one.

Modelers, in general, tend to suffer from model boredom from time to time.

Here is a preview www.micro-flight.com.

It may help remedy your boredom. Have Fun!

Hello

The new site is looking good.

Just wondering, could you post some close ups of your new tiny helis and also post some more details about your helis.

Keep up the good work

Hi, how do they fly compared to a micro like a Hummiingbird or Piccolo?

Mario
Sep 06, 2003, 12:42 AM
Thanks Guys,

As you might tell by the web site flight photo details, the flights are very smooth outdoors, in calm weather, as well as indoors. Flights shown are with li-pol cells.

If you are already flying a larger basic (non hoped up) "micro", the Bumble bee and Falcon feel more powerful and responsive respective to their size.

Their smaller size, more room to practice in, makes easier practice sessions that are more cumbersome in smaller places, with larger micros. This is a secondary plus to their more stable and responsive flight characteristics.

Hi Guys,

There are always plans to make something new and somtimes resurect some past projects.

The Designer Series of parts I have, answer in part to that area, Carlo, with metal parts tentative to be added as upgrades.

Regarding, the Palm Size heli , I put a little bit about the status under my web site's, History tab, near the bottom of the page. basically same thing I said in one of the Palm Size heli posts here.

Thanks again and let me just say that people's possitive interest and comments are always my inspiration, I appreciate that.

Mario,

Have you looked into the new servos and flight pack from Cirrus called the "Micro Joule"?

The servos weigh less than three grams and are 20x6x6 mm (1 inch = 25mm)

I was wondering if they would work well on the Bumble Bee?

Phil

Mario
Sep 10, 2003, 12:04 PM
Charles,

I have videos but have to upload them.

Phil,

I have looked at the Micro Joule on the internet, read about their size and have considered them for a smaller project. Except no one has them yet, so have not tried them. If anyone has these I'd like to know.

The Bumble Bee and Falcon were done around the Hs50, Hs55 and similar size, because these are popular, everyone has these in their park flyers or similar models and are economical.

However one can always go with smaller equipment.

The Bumble and Falcon frame were also designed to bolt on the servos mentioned above, anything smaller that doesn't have screw mounting tabs will have to be mounted on small plates and glued to the frames.

Hi Mario, if you have a pic handy, I'd love to see the Bumble Bee or Falcon next to a standard micro like a Piccolo or Hummingbird... :)

Ok. I am bored! I need a new heli fix or two. I have enough gear for two very light helis.

Jun Nolasco

P.S. I cracked a pair of JohnK's very old wooden Moth blades (stubby) just a few minutes ago. I only have one pair of his blades left (high perf).

hmmm

looks like the g10 frame stuff was real.

And I guess he really does do design and such. I mean, it isn't like he is selling a box of rocks out of a van in a walmart parking lot.

But, apparently, like other genius/inventor types, much time is spent tinkering. Getting something to production is another story.

well, there is the helistar, right?

I noticed he removed "15th" from the website.
So, it says September 2003 now.

I'm not going to worry too much about dates as long as they are not ridiculously late. Seems late releases are part of our hobby for some reason.

Besides I think given that Mario seems to be taking care of business better these days that I'll cut him some slack. I'd rather wait a little and have a great heli. Guess real question is what is a resonable amount of time to wait and I think this is up to each individual.

Cheers
John

Update:

Hello everyone,

MIA and its staff has been working very hard this week coordinating shipment of orders to our distributors.

If not already mentioned or pictured in our distributors sites, next week folks should begin to see the new products in their doorsteps.

We wanted everyone to have a fair and equal opportunity of having product at about the same time.

We have shipped and are in the process of shipping new orders. Bumble Bees, Falcons, G10 items , G10 frames upgrades for the Hornet, hummingbird, Piccolo, etc. Quite a selection to chose from adn will be adding more.

With our new web site, we have made some new friends and I will be adding new distributors to our current list to better serve different regions of the country. Perhaps a new distributor in Europe, we are considering some possibilities to serve our European and far east friends as well.

Once again, I apprecaite all the support . Thanks Again, hang tight! :)

Mario,

How about posting the differences between the Bumble Bee and falcon, especially in terms of flight characteristics? That should give us an idea of which one to get (or both if they fly very differently ;))

Also, how about some detailed info on your dersigner series?
