Car is in really good shape, but... it's missing mirrors, windshield wipers
and front marker lights.. also, the drivers side vent window post is broken,
but can be fixed. Just curious, do you think I should try and get these
items and include with the car when I sell it, or just sell as is? IOW,
would having these parts already make it worth more(at least as much as
buying the parts) or is it just not worth it?

I know most people are going to say to just keep it(that's what Dad tells
me*g*), but I really have no use for it.. no children, and there isn't any
R/C clubs around or anything.. and I'm so busy with other things that even
if there were, I probably wouldn't have the time(or the money) to get
involved.

So, it's going on the auction block(or heck, could be sold here if someone
wants it and offers me the right price!*g*)

Also, seriously, what do you think I should be looking to get for it? I sold
a Toyota Hi-Lux several years ago for $850, and the guy that bought it told
me at that time that the Sand Scorcher should be worth around $400... so I'd
figure the "worth" would have risen some since then?

Oh, and not that it matters, but I'll prob. do something nice like give the
money to my wife to go towards her vacation this year. *g*

It's not just based on number of championships won. Richard Petty won
200 races and 7 Daytona 500s in his 30+ year driving career. He also has
the most top-5s (555), top-10s (712), poles (126), laps completed
(307,836), laps led (52,194), races led (599) and consecutive races won
(10 in 1967) of any driver in NASCAR history.

How come Richard Petty never takes his sunglasses off?

Totally off topic for here, but I'll answer. He has a serious problem with
bright light and his eyes. I can't remember exactly what it's called, but
that's the reason. It's not that he "never" takes them off, but it is rare.
The drummer for Alabama is/was the same way. They would even request no
flash pictures, even when he had his dark glasses on.
