I used G2 at a friend's and got a taste of hovering with a simulator. He let me try a downloaded tweaked 3D plane.
( beats wrecking a plane )

I have Cockpit Master program but don't find these models easy to hover.

Can I modify my simulator models to make them hover?

If not, is there an inexpensive program that will let me do this??

Thanks :)

Tried tweaking a Simple 400 in CM

It does ok but I have to try some more changes.

I changed the model to a geared 400 with alarger prop and more control surface area

Use the Reflex - that one has a hover trainer that gives you access to one function after another. Reflex (http://www.reflex-sim.com)

The trainer with the tailrotor is the heli trainer. there is another one in the aircraft section:
