On October 11/12, the CSS will be hosting the Great Pumpkin Fly at the VOA Field. Hopefully this time, good weather will be on our side. This will be a AMA class A soaring contest, with pilots from several states attending. The CSS's famous "chef Dirr" will be dunking a turkey or two on Saturday, and we will have our man-on-man turkey shoot on sunday.
We will have frequency controls in effect in the morning and during the contest. Electric aircraft operations permitted until 9:30am and after 5:30pm both Saturday and Sunday.
We want to showcase model aviation and draw spectators. We do have the business cards of one of the township trustees that stopped by our Memorial Fly, and we will invite him back.
Barry Andersen (bandersen1@insightbb.com) is the CD on saturday and I am the CD on sunday. We will be posting a flyer soon at www.cincinnatisoaring.org. Thanks.
