Hi everyone. I was recently looking around the SPAD site, and saw the GeeBee PQHOR. The plans are located here:

http://www.spadtothebone.com/SPAD/Qhor/GeeBee/geebee.html

I printed the planes, and after reading them, I was elft with some questions. I know some of you have built these planes, and maybe offer me some help and solutions.

First off: The aluminum rail. Where do I get one, how do I mount the fuselage onto it, and do the servos go on it or the fuse?

Wing: Where is the aileron servo located? from the pictures, I can't see it very well.

Do I attach the wing with rubber bands, or how do I do it? OR is it a one pice plane? It isn't big, so that's not much of a issue.

Also, do the ailerons work well on this? I think the airfoil is undercambered.

Is there a spar? Is one needed?

Also, can someone show me a site on the spad site as how to rig up a aluminumk rail?

THANK YOU!!

Cam

Check the Spad3 instructions....they pretty much have a step by step explanation of how to deal with the channel( which is 3/4 inch size from Home Depot or Lowes, and all of your other questions also.

Check out the QHOR, PQHOR and like Gofli said, the Spa3d. They are all the same basic building techniques. The GeeBee page is just supplimental measurements on how to modify one into the GeeBee.

I just finished a GeeBee last weekend, and it was a riot to fly.

First off: The aluminum rail. Where do I get one, how do I mount the fuselage onto it, and do the servos go on it or the fuse?

I got my rail at Lowes. It is also called plywood end cap.

Wing: Where is the aileron servo located? from the pictures, I can't see it very well.

In the picture it is in the rail. The 3/4 rail holds futaba servos perfect. Add a zip tie and it's very secure. For the Ailerons I used two servos on the wing with a Y adaptor to connect them. I secured them to the wing with a zip tie.

Do I attach the wing with rubber bands, or how do I do it? OR is it a one pice plane? It isn't big, so that's not much of a issue.

The way the rail goes through the coro sucures it somewhat. Yoo also add piano wire in one of the flutes near the fold. You will also add at least two screws to hold the fuselage to the rail.

Also, do the ailerons work well on this? I think the airfoil is undercambered.

The ailerons work great.

Is there a spar? Is one needed?

The piano wire give the wing extra strength.

Also, can someone show me a site on the spad site as how to rig up a aluminumk rail?

Use all the links on this page to complete your GeeBee
