I've been flying electric for about a year and am ready to buy my 3rd plane (probably an aeorbatic plane like Eagle or Pigi). I'd love to do some practice aerobatics on a simulator but have several questions.....
1. Are there any good, free simulators via the net or other sources? If so, how do I get them? What do you use for a trasmitter for these types?
2. What is the best simulator for the price? How much?
3. Any other suggestions welcome?
Thanks, Doug

Discussed here several time already, the search engine might be of help. In general, our world is pretty simple:
There are freeware products and there are products that need some money.
The second part of the world - the money side - offers a choice of fixed wing only sims at moderate cost (30-90$) and full featured sims (heli and fixed wing) at 150-200$.
That's your basic choice. If you are heading for helicopters, the choice is rather simple. Either you have a look at the freeware products, keeping in mind that the cost reflects the usability or you go for the full featured products. Here it is important for you, where your own style starts: more game like fancy grafics of pure professional simulation.

1. Yes. See the Sim Sites thread at the top of the forum. FMS is probably the most popular free sim with lots of support. It's free so worth way more than you paid for it but it's not perfect. You can buy or build (with a few basic electronic skills) interfaces to connect your transmitter to the PC
2. Probably the most respected commercial sims are RealFlight G2, Aerofly Pro and Reflex. They are good but still not perfect and they are not cheap. They usually come with either a dummy Tx or an interface for your own Tx.
Your choice.

Why not try RC Plane Master.
Cheap, excellent and you can fly the Me109 for free.
