Yes.
It is a popular program in Aus with any outdoor sports people, snow
skiers of which I am one, yacht crowd and wind / kite surfers.
Im told the word has spread in many outdoor sporting clubs that
weather is a factor
Aus Bureau of Meteorology tell me they use it around their offices as
well.
I had it before I started flying for checking snow skiing conditions
mostly.

Everyone in the CFA (country fire authority) that owns a PC has it on
their home Im told.
Wind changes can be the call to go.
Had notes from a quite a few farmers checking on frosts
Couple of pilots. (who want me to add NOTAR's but I said they shouldnt
be using it for that, there is no QA on the readings their radio
weather has.)

Got a note from one guy in Brisbane who apparently noted the trends on
my WS program on his office PC and called the wife to tell here the
water was rising and to get home and jamb towels under the front door
to stop water since it was too far from his office to make it.
Apparently she did and the water came up an inch to the front door for
about 1/2 hour and they saved the carpet from soaking up the water.
He was very thankfull for having WS running.

When I started flying rc it became more usefull to me than ever so it
is my most personally used program for sure.
Hence the addition of alarms for wind speed and / or direction

Thats still incomplete with just a visual and sound alarm (a fill in)
it does now, I have to connect the code (dial up or net connection) to
it to get it to use SMS for allerts which is the main aim of having
alerts in it just not complete yet..
Just letting the 3 big carriers here decide on some fixed policy about
SMS they will maintain and not change next week.
Id rather avoid dialin.

My core aim is to have it call me up and SMS the message
"10kt, gt 12kt, dir SSE, 1020hpa, Time 2 fly Heli"
(it will have user optional msgs)

Next update is a little while off yet, Ive got most of it done to
support graphing of periods and so you can jump from one to another
stat or graph not stuck to logging of one..

Unfortunately Qld has old formatting I cant use and getting more and
more requests for Cairns region etc.
Ill see what I can do there.
