Hi,

We have a Jeti Rex 4 plus rx which appears to have lost one of the surface mount components., probably a cap or resistor. If you open the case lid (with the label on) it's the component lying under the aerial lead.
It's the one running along the top of the box, under the aerial lead.
Is anyone able to give me an idea what it is, and what value - then maybe we can fix this! :)

Cheers,

This is what mine looks like.

Which bit is missing?

Sadly the surface miount components are too small to have any markings on them except the large black capacitor at the back which is marked C105 - i.e. 100nF. I would guess that is simply a supply decoupler.

Other stuff round there looks like small ceramics - part of input tuned circuit.

Hard to tell what tho.

Guys,

Many thanks for the response! :D
Initially, (visually) it IS C105 that is missing! I guess I can replace it and see if that wakes the RX up!

I'll let you know how it goes!

Vintage1,

Just to keep you up to date - I replaced the cap (with a discrete cap - didn't have a surface mount :( ), and it seems to have done the job!

Many thanks for the info!

Cheers.
