Which line for leads?

I am new to sailboats and want to start out by making the appropriate modifications to my Victoria. Which line is recommended and can it be used for larger boats? I currently have 50lb Spectra, but I can exchange it if necessary.

50lb Spectra will be just fine for the Victoria. Not sure about larger boats though - I guess it depends on how large and in what wind you'll be sailing.
