I'm thinking about entering the hobby with a Traxxus T-Maxx, and would like
to know if you can run these in the snow or the sand.

thanks,
Jim

Yes you can. You need to buy water resistant servos (or waterproof your own
with shoo goo or balloons), and get used to buying new bearings. The
reciever definately needs to to be water resistant, but short of dunking,
the existing receiver cover should do fine. Check your air filter often.

Having spent a lot of time running in snow, and sand I would say
balooning your electronics is a MUST! This includes your reciever!
It's cheap, doesn't take long and will save you tons of money and
frustration. Also as far as an air cleaner goes, switch to a motor
saver with a mud gaurd, this will keep 80% of the mud/snow/sand off
your filter. Your bearings will be just fine provided you take your
truck apart everytime you run in sand or snow, clean it and give those
bearings a good dose of WD-40. If you have any other questions feel
