What's the best way to thin Tamiya Polycarbonate paints? They say use their
thinner, but from my experience that's just usually a waste of money.
They're water soluable, so can i use water to thin? or do i use a laquer
thinner? It doesn't say what kind of paints they are, just that they are for
polycarbonate.

it should be thin with their own solven, the X-20A, a large bottle but not
costly, you can use that thinner to thin parma paint as well. If you still
think they are expansive, use distilled water will also be OK. but for best
effect, X-20A will be the only choice.
Those paints are water base, aqualic paint.
