I've never flown one, but have been beat by one many times. This should tell you that-

A. It's a really good plane with a really good pilot at the time-

B. I'm a lousy pilot.

I'd like to think it's A. :D

I've observed Rusty fly in many contests and I KNOW it's A.

Awww shucks, Ollie! Yer makin' me blush! ;)

Superman, it's a really nice plane...Vac-bagged wings, launches to the moon, long legs, etc...

I have beat one before and have been beaten by one.

It's a very clean wing.

Back to the original thread...

I had one and loved it. I sold it only because I had too many planes and knew I'd never fly this in a contest.

The original plane had a weak fuze that has been corrected, as per NSP. I had to replace mine with an Addiction fuze and stabs which gave me a longer nose and lighter tail (saved me about 7 ozs!).

Here it is with the original fuze (click on each image to see a larger version)...

Here it is with the Addiction fuze. I called it the Addictory...

I had Multiplex contest spoilers installed driven by 2 HS-55 servos and they would slow the thing down to a crawl. Really helped with spot landings.

Be aware of one thing. The wings need to be cut and my kit had no instructions on what angles to cut. I found a Excel spread sheet program on the web that helped there. Cutting was a little tricky and if the kit comes with each wing one piece, contact me and I'll tell you the best way to do it.

I don't fly SC2 very much maybe twice a year.
I will be working in the shop and watching the Nascar race.
Call me and come on by.
