What is a supercritical airfoil ? Saw some on Profi.

It's basically an airfoil with a weak(er) shock wave at transonic speeds. I.e. limit compressibility drag rise and buffeting phenomenon.

Or simply, it's not applicable for R/C flight (depending on how fast you are)

My understanding also is that below
certian size cord of wings
this affect cannnot take place

From memory its 25 cm and bigger

It also requires a large speed to be stable

It is popular on full size gliders
10 metre wing spans or more
where ability to traverse long distances at high speed
are required
From memory there is a lot of info
on subject in full size glider forums
