Looking to see if anyone knows of or has plans for building, or better yet a kit, for an SU-47 jet.
I have found a site in Chinese of a guy that has done it in foam with a nitro engine, but I want it in balsa with a jet engine.
Just point me in the right direction since I have lots of time. I am not ready for a jet yet, but would like to start the ball rolling in that direction getting ready for a first flight in 2 to 3 years time.

Best bet would be to start out with DF first. I am going through the same process. I have a YA F16 that I am using to get my turbine waiver, meanwhile I am putting together a T38 talon with RAM 750. If you have never flown jets before this is the way to go.

Thanks Gregg. The S37 is the old designation for the SU-47. I couldn't find anything on it either, but your link is exactly what I am after.
As far as working up to jets, that is the plan. I am just getting into flying and will have my first trainer in a few months. That is the whole reason I am looking at 2-3 years before this thing takes off. I can spend lots of time doing a slow build on the plane since it will be a very long time before I have the skills to fly this, and I am not going to push my training. I will be ready when my instructor says I am ready.

hi blindrage! its nice to see people showing interest in the berkoot (s37)! unfortunately there arent any hardcore scale plans or kits available. as this is my favourite jet of all time and I would never be satisfied with anything less than a model which is as close to scale as possible I will be producing a fully composite model for a single 14lb + turbine in an assymmetrical installation or if you wanna be really cool a couple of wren mw44's. and it will be kitted! I have just started a saab viggen for schuebeler 90mm impeller and brushless motor or an mw 44. this project is goin to take about a year to complete and then I will get stuck into the 37. Are you going to have active thrust vectoring on your model? it is a great advantage! you have to couple it to your rudder so you can turn without banking!!! couple it to your elevator so you can push the nose up and down even if you are stalled or hover in a tail stand whilst firing air to ground missiles! and ofcourse if it is set up as a twin you have each engine independantly coupled to your ailerons so you can execute snap rolls without needing airflow over your ailerons. anyway im gettin over excited here! nice to meet some one with such good taste!!!!

Hello guys,
I would also love to built a "scale" SU-47 for a TWIN EDF or a trbine. I am also looking for a really good kit.
This is also a long term project since i have a panther EDF and a panther turbine to built first !!!
But, we need to be ready ... when we will be ready to start :-)
Sukhoiboi, let us know when you are ready to start producing your fully composite model.
By the way, du you know this French site dedicated to the SU-47 ? quite a lot of details !

I realised and i actually fly with a turbine Su 47 .These are the dimensions:
Lenght overall: mt.2.00
Wing Span mt.1.60
Weight dry: kg.10
Turbine simjet 3000
The fuselage is in fiberglass and wings are maiden with foam, balsa and covered with 80gr/mq fiberglass.
I also have photos and video of the flight of this airplane, and they'll soon available on the internet site .
