The October, 2003 Flight Journal has an excellent series of articles on the Northrup flying wings. Of particular interest is Barnaby Wainfan's article on the aerodynamics of tail-less aircraft.

There are a number of good books on flying wing design. I got mine from http://www.b2streamlines.com/ but they have stopped publishing, but Bill might be able to point you in the right directions. If you want details of the books, PM me. Also, there are a number of books on Northrop (check amazon) and there are some good pages on the net on flying wings - http://members.cox.net/twitt/ is a good place to start.

Loads of good info on www.nurflugel.com too. It's dedicated to flying wings including Horten and Northrop and even the ones currently being built.

I got a copy of the October issue of Flight Journal and read the article by B. Wainfan. It is the best nontechnical article on flying wing design that I have seen in 50 years of following the subject. It is also the best general exposition of any type of aircraft design process that I have seen. I recommend it to all aircraft designers, especially beginners.
