Hi guys, I have an old Lupo that I'm resurrecting with a Dual GWS "A" drive and LiPoly's. I also got some 19" hollow floats from www.foamfloats.com. I want to fly off of my pool, is anyone doing this yet? This will be my first float plane, so any advice is welcome.
Thanks,
Jason

Hope you have a large pool, low fence and not many trees around. Of course, I don't know what a Lupo is - how about a pic? And I was worrying about trying to fly a GWS Beaver off the small lake behind my house.

Just to clarify, the lake behind my house is about ten acres but it is long and narrow and is surrounded by houses and trees (Live Oaks and Palms, of course) and I live at one end. I'm not worried about getting off the water, just about staying over it and being able to set up for an upright landing. :(

Dick,
A Lupo is an incredibly slow, stable flyer originally designed for a GWS "B" motor. I've hopped mine up with a dual motor "A" for short take off. I can do touch and goes on the pool with the wheels about 9 out of 10 times, so I'm hopeful.
Here's a pic or the Lupo,

And here is my first pool flyer, it has a 15" span, and was full house with 340mAh LiPoly's. It almost worked, but was too squirrely to land on the pool. It took off fine though.
