Beginner

Hi!
I'm a beginner, i've been into R/C cars for a little while, but i've wnted to expand into airplanes, preferably sail planes. 've been tryign to find anythign i could online and i think i've decided on an EPP one. I've been looking at the 1-26 hlg foamie and it sounds good. I'm not really going to be doign anythign special with it. I'll probably be flying it just in an open field. Also, i'll probably be hand launching it. thanks for any info!!

since u r hand launching it, why don't you buy a motor glider? these are GREAT for the beginner because sailplanes DON'T always stay in the air unless you have skill at flying with thermals, especially with hl models. i bought an easy pigeon motor glid with 3 ch. setup and have been amazed at the flight times. since im still a beginner to, it havent had much thermalling practice yet, but i can still get a decent half hour flight from simply climbing, desending, climbing etc. i probably reckon i could get an hour from it one day. good luck and hope this helps.

also, try your hand at the FMS simulator (http://n.ethz.ch/student/mmoeller/fms/index_e.html) to practice how to fly.
