Added tip fins to the Phantasm, flew it just before an electrical storm came by...
The directional "nonchalance" it demonstrated in stock form (no verticals at all) went away.
The pointy end stays in front now.
The fins were glued to the surface of the wing with sandingbelt glue, and as the plane flew, these were observed to tilt inwards.
I guess there's a relatively strong upwash around the edges of the tips.
One oddity... although roll reponse is good, the roll characteristics are those of a R/E airplane. It won't continue a roll past the 180 point without lots of down elevator to push the nose around....
