Well, I bought tha H-9 ARF version of the T-34. Looks like it'll be a good one. I have you to thank. You have a beautiful plane there...

Thanks for the noice words about my Mentor. Hope it inspired you a little to get yours. They fly beautiful.
Let us know how this thing comes together, and fly's. What retracts are you going to use ? What engine ?

Will do. And yes, it did inspire me. Absolutely beautiful plane. I couldn't get it out of my head. Walked into my LHS, and there it was. A quick inspection and out the door with it I went!
I'm gonna use the H-9 mechanical retracts the manual calls for with Hitec servos. http://horizon.hobbyshopnow.com/products/description.asp?prod=HAN157 I haven't completely decided on the engine yet. I have an OS FS 70 SII NIB that I'm leaning towards heavily but, I have an OS 50SX 2 stroke with low hours on it that might fit it better. Less hanging out of the cowl 'ya know....
I'll keep you posted...;)

Hi everyone.
Also got the Mentor T-34 from Hangar9. Have now made flaps and retracts on the main gear. Have done something summarily that you have done regarding the exhaust hidden inside the cowl. The big problem I have now is where to fit the front retract.
Would you have any pictures of how you have done.
I am using a OS70S (4-stroke) in the plane. And where did you get the cockpit kit.
Thanks
PS. Will put pictures in later.

MTVDanmark: You are talking about a different plane. This post is regarding the Top flite T-34 mentor KIT, you are talking about A H9 ARF. The cockpit kit is not avaiaible for Hanger 9 planes as far as i know...

That is my next dream machine. I really like the looks of the TF Mentor. And those Robart retracts are the bomb. I'm getting me one next year.
How difficult is it to build the kit. How many man hours do you think it takes? Did you need a really long work table? Does it break down to a small package? So many questions.
Thanks for sharing,
bing
