I'm a little concerned with Hitec repair service.
A couple of months ago one of my HS-81MGs wouldn't hold a deflection correctly. I sent it in for repair and when I got it back the servo wouldn't center correctly. I resent it and it was finally repaired correctly.
Earlier this month my Kyosho Spitfire crashed. The Superslim 8 receiver didn't appear to be damaged. I checked it after the crash but the advice was to send it in to have it checked over. After two weeks I hadn't received the postcard stating it had been received but the USPS tracking said it was delivered on July 5. I called Hitex and the customer service rep said a cold solder joint had been repair. I got the receiver last Friday and it doesn't work at all. I hooked up my servos, UBEC and ESC to another receiver and everything worked. I sent the receiver back on Saturday.
Seems they didn't bench test it even though I stated in a note that the receiver had been in a crash.
Granted all these repairs were free but I still spent extra money in postage and the had to wait double the time for the repairs.
On the other note last year I had to send my Eclipse in for repair after a prop strike on the case which damaged a trim switch. They repaired it free despite not really being warrantable.
