The Cambrian Funfighter series includes a semi scale Spitfire at 42" span for .20-.25 engines that flies very well indeed. Thses kits have just been rereleased here in the UK and are a very robust chuck in the back of the car type model with veneered foam wings, built up balsa and ply fuselage and solid sheet balsa tail surfaces.

I've just electrified my Spitfire with an AXI 2820/10 and the heavy duty ply sides of the fuselage make them a bit heavy for electrics but that is much less of an issue with IC. They absolutely rock on a .25 and would fly well on a decent .20 2 stroke.

I found the answer to the Spitfire for the 0.20.

Coroplast ! ! !

I just built a very scale-like MiG 7 from Coroplast sheets. Flies well (and fast) on the OS 0.20. It's SPAD to the bone ! ! !

No off to work on a matching Spit for the second 0.20.

March of 1987 RCM magazine featured plans for a Supermarine "Spiteful" that was .15 powered, .20 would probably improve performance.

Looked like a very nice plane, one that has stuck in my memory since I first saw it. probably became my very first "someday" project. :D

Available at www.rcmmagazine.com in their plans section.

#987 3/87 $9.00.

I am just about to finish a Coro Mig-7 myself, I'll post pics when I get it done.
