I would take the T-Maxx. For the reasons I recently picked one up. The
amount of support and accessories for the Maxx is phenomenal. There's more
parts available for that truck than almost any. In stock form, the Maxx is
more adjustable, is quicker yet uses a smaller engine(if that's an issue),
comes equipped with reverse (also not a necessity), and then there's
starting the engine, the Maxx has an onboard electric starter vs. a pull
start for the Savage (personal choice again). The issue of Monster Trucks
from the publishers of RC Nitro and RC Car Action also voted it the top of
the bunch. It's a great truck, but I don't think you'll be disappointed
with either of them. Hope this helps...

Don't know about you, but I like being different from what everyone else is
running. Everyone and his brother has a T-Maxx. Break out on your own and
get a real truck. I have both the Ofna Titan and a Savage and they are
great trucks. Hop-ups are out there for the Savage and are becoming
increasingly easier to come by. It also accepts T-Maxx wheels and bodies as
well. I have a friend that has spent lots of money just to make his T-Maxx
durable enough to do what he wants, but my Savage it plenty durable in
itself.

Definitely something to consider. Just about any truck you consider will be
a good truck. The most important feature is a local shop with replacement
parts for whatever truck you choose. A good parts source is invaluable when
something breaks. You surely don't want to be waiting a week for a part.

No questions go with the Savage SS be another month I think till it comes
out. Is a kit though that you build yourself, some upgrades from RTR version
Savage also and no radio which is a good thing. So you just buy your own
radio for it, so that way you can buy a 75 band radio so you have a huge
amount of frequencies to pick from. Take a look at newer JR XS3 radio where
you can change the frew when ever you want.

Get an OFNA monster pirate if you want to race the truck. (fastest Ofna
monster truck, and cheapest) I stomp T maxx's and savages like they are
standing still. About 4 MPH difference with my Hyper .21 4 port. On the
other hand, if climbing is your thing, get the savage. Add the roto start
system (which will work for all force motors as well) and you have a great
package. The savage has a much more reactive suspension, t-maxx's jsut flip
and roll.

Why would superman want to leap over the tallest building in a single bound
if he can fly?

Savages and T-Maxxes are dead even on climbing in stock form. It really
depends on how much you slam them and what tires you put on them.
