Hi,
I have a sloper which crashed last week and stripped both wing servos, (HS 81's). After replacing both gears with metal gears, I reinstalled both........THEN noticed that one of them was double centering!

Question:

Do I need to cut this servo completely out of the wing, (major surgery) and replace it, or can I pop it out and fix it somehow?

Thanks,

Jeff

You might have damaged the top case where the pins rest causing the addional slop. In any case you will need to remove it from the wing. If that is not the problem then send it in and we can check it out.

Thanks Mike, I was afraid of that.

Hi Steve,

Not sure what the 'Websters' definition is, but this is what is happening. The servo "centers" in two different spots. When I move the aileron stick to the right and release, the aileron centers above the centerline of the wing, when I move the aileron stick to the left and release, the aileron centers below the centerline of the wing. No amount of wiggling or fiddling can correct this.
