Extension wire question

I needed to remove the plug from my ESC and solder the wires to an extension with a plug on one end.

The ESC has Brown - Red - Orange wires.
The extension has Black - Red - White wires.

Do you connect this combo :

Brown to Black
Red to Red
Orange to White.

I have an ESC (brown, red, orange) plugged into a Y cable the has (black,red,yellow). I have them lined up as you describe, other than yellow instead of white.

Yes.
Brown/black is ground
Red is power postive
Orange/white is signal
